Role:
Principal Engineer


Based:
London, 2 days a week in the office


Salary:
up to £175k

Startups. There are plenty of them.

If you have an interest in joining one, then making sure you pick the right one can be tricky.


This business is not your standard start-up, they've built and run their own bank successfully for their proof of concept.

Now they are using the technology platforms and are selling them as a white label. Banking as a service.


Why is any of that good for you?You know the products work, You know there is a market for it which in a start up company you will have a stable business to work for.


They are still early on their roadmap so you can still influence and help drive the direction of the business, achieve shares and get exposure to new products within banking, web3 or any number of technologies like Rust, Go.


If you are someone who likes to learn, can pivot with technology, and welcomes a challenge with an opportunity to grow and build a team of highly capable engineers around you then this will be for you.


As they internalise their engineering function the new CTO will be looking for you to run the day to day department, with a view to you becoming the VP of engineering in the short to medium term.


What you need:

Hands on development with full-stack tech such as JVM, Java, React, Kafka, Kubernetes with a level of understanding equivalent to an architect.
