Trinity House Group are excited to be supporting a fantastic venture capital backed business based in Birmingham City Centre. The role reports to the Finance Director, initially with two direct reports.

This is a key role in managing the Finance Department and working closely with the Finance Director. The role includes preparation of the management accounts. It also includes the oversight of purchase ledger, sales invoicing, stock, expenses and cashiers.

The role:

Preparation of the periodic management accounts, including preparation of key journals
Oversight of purchase ledger, sales invoicing, stock, expenses and cashiers
Managing the general ledger and trial balance
Run checks and reconciliation files to ensure accurate accounts close
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
Administrative tasks to coordinate and organise the team through month end
Other duties / key finance projects working alongside the Finance Director

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong initiative and interpersonal skills with a desire to learn and develop
IT literate, intermediate to advanced understanding of Excel an advantage.
AAT qualified or undertaking a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA).
Ability to work to tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Willing to manage a small team, experience not essential
