People (HR) Administrator to join the team on full time basis. In return,you will receive a competitive salary of
£21,276 - £23,340 per annum.

You will be employed through Southern Educational Professional Services Ltd; asubsidiary of the College.


About the role:


As our People (HR) Administrator, you will provide a high-quality administrative service as part of a small close-knit team, support the employee journey.

This role manages an allocated caseload and answers general queries, ensuring all transactions arehandled with KCSIE and Safeguarding uppermost in mind.


Responsibilities as ourPeople (HR) Administrator
will include:

  • Processing all employment changes on our HRIS e.g. variations to contracts, new starters, leavers etc.
  • Managing a busy and at times challenging administrative caseload of recruitment activity
  • Completing by deadlines payroll specific spreadsheets, ensuring high levels of accuracy and that processes are followed consistently
  • Ensuring the HR systems are managed and maintained with accurate employee data, including back office duties and audits
  • Supporting staff inhouse with People Team systems
  • Provide senior people team colleagues with administrative support if requested
  • Produce reports from HRIS and publish as needed
  • Ensure that all necessary preemployment checks are carried out e.g. Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, reference checks, online medical questionnaires, barred list checks etc
  • Contribute towards specific projects, predominant focus on the continuing development of the Recruitment Applicant Tracking system and the digital personnel records and associated modules, which includes system amendments and configuration.
  • To carry out other such duties, commensurate with the grade of the post which may be reasonably allocated.

As ourPeople (HR) Administratoryou'll ideally have:

  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
  • Level 3 CIPD/other relevant HR qualification or willingness to work towards (sponsorship for CIPD L3 may be available)
  • Administrative work experience in a busy office environment
  • Outstanding administrative skills
  • Operational knowledge of structured transactional and operational administration processes and systems
