Wates Construction are looking for a strategic and dynamic PMO Manager to play a pivotal role within our Pre Construction team, directly reporting to the National Pre Construction Director.
This newly established position is an opportunity to challenge the norm, bring fresh new ideas, lead and innovate within the sector and help to create tomorrow together.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the backbone of our Pre Construction PMO, you will act as the crucial link among the National Pre Construction Director, Regional Pre Construction Directors, and the Construction Board.
As our PMO Manager, you will:
- Spearhead the development and implementation of standardised processes, methodologies, and best practices, ensuring high-quality, current data for strategic decision-making.
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships across various departments, aligning efforts towards common goals.
- Lead strategic planning and governance to ensure project success within timelines and budgets.
- Establish frameworks and controls that uphold our commitment to excellence and integration with wider organisational objectives.
We are looking for a PMO Manager with a proven track record in establishing and leading a PMO in complex, large-scale projects, proficient in project management methodologies such as AGILE or PRINCE2, and with a strong emphasis on governance. You will be an excellent communicator capable of building and sustaining high-level stakeholder relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS
MBA, Prince2 Practitioner, expert in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Advanced Excel.
LOCATION & TRAVEL
Based in Manchester/Warrington, with occasional travel to our seven regions and London.
