Midday Supervisor
Part time - 10 hours per week
Term time only - 38 weeks plus 3 days
Permanent
Salary grade B point 2 (FTE £22,366 per annum)
£5,145 actual salary per annum
Lunchtimes at BHTP account for more than a year of a primary school life for a child. Such a huge time commitment needs to be given the investment that it deserves. At BHTP, we know that a great deal of social and emotional learning goes on at lunchtime.
We also know that it is a high priority for our children because they see it as their time; for eating, for play, for being with their friends.
Breadsall Hill Top Primary is looking for a motivated, energetic and organised individual to become part of its effective Midday Supervisor team.
Main Responsibilities are:
- To supervise, organise and safeguard the children within the playground or dining hall environment.
- To organise and develop interactive activities for the children during play
- To use class registers and operate the system designed to ensure all children receive a school meal
- To encourage dining arrangements that promote an orderly and pleasant meal service for all children
- To assist as required to ensure a calm, clean environment in the dining hall
- To support the development of the BHTP whole school food strategy
- Demonstrate a calm and reassuring manner
- Be passionate about making a difference to every child
- Value a team working approach and be keen to contribute and share your skills with colleagues
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build on and maintain strong relationships with staff and children
- Be punctual and reliable
