Description
Priory Adult Care is the UK's leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.

With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge.

We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Priory Supported Living London & Home Counties provides innovative and creative support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism and/or mental health problems to live the lives they want and to achieve their goals.

We work with individuals who require support and assistance to live as independently as possible whether this is providing support in peoples' own homes or via our outreach services.

The level of support can range from a couple of hours per week to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We provide support to individuals who are funded directly by the Local Authority, have a direct payment or individual budget and some people buy in support privately.

Harlington is a shared house which supports four individuals who live with their own tenancies. They are very active in the community and enjoy living independently with support.

We are flexible and person centred in our approach, believing that no two people will have the same support needs, goals or aspirations and knowing therefore that everyone's support will be different.

Our person centred support plans are developed in partnership with the people we support and others who are important to them.

We always ensure that the process is meaningful and that the person we support has real opportunities to direct the process and state their wishes.

While we are able to support people with a wide range of learning disabilities, we have particular expertise in supporting individuals with very challenging and complex needs.

Our behaviour specialists are fully involved in assessing need, setting up personalised packages of support that will really make a difference to a person's life and, alongside specialists from the Quality Team, supporting staff in providing high quality individualised support.

As a Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our residents.

Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both individuals we support and their families, supporting residents in the planning of goals and in living as independently as possible.

Both personal care and participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative is vital; experience however is not essential, providing you have a willingness to learn and the compassion and patience needed to support.

We have positions working full time and part time and offer permanent contracts and bank agreements.

What we'd like from you:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Effective organisational capability
  • Great team player
  • Flexibility to respond to the changing needs of those who we support
  • Strong "can do" attitude

What we'd like to give you:

  • A competitive salary
  • Enhanced disclosure cost coverage
  • Comprehensive induction and commitment to ongoing training
  • 28 days annual leave (pro rata for part time)
  • Online benefits and cashback rewards
  • SMART Pension options
