What you'll get to work on:

As a Fleet Compliance and Risk Specialist you'll be supporting the Fleet Risk & Compliance Manager and the Network Fleet and Logistics Managers in providing a best-in-class fleet operations support service to internal customers.

You will also support pre and post-contract operational & commercial matters including contract performance/reliability measures are in place and adhered to, reports, management information and KPIs are produced and provides other day-to-day administration/managerial requirements.

You will also be

  • Actively engages with the wider Safety, Health, Environment & Security (SHES) Team and other stake holders across Cadent to promote safe driving and compliance initiative whilst working collaboratively towards solving business and project needs.
  • Actively identify gaps within our processes, opportunities for improvement in safe driving and manage the implementation of solutions for efficiency, compliance, or customer experience improvements across the wider team.
  • Ability to identify and encourage collaborative working across departments.
  • Takes ownership and accountability for achieving the goals on time and empowers others to do the same.
  • Drives and evaluates performance, controls and behaviours within own and wider business area(s).
  • Builds team trust, integrity and confidence, encouraging a collaborative, open and honest environment.

Who are we looking for:


  • Has detailed knowledge of Operator Licence management systems and processes, with accountability for endtoend management of vehicle registrations on the government VOL system
  • Strong vehicle knowledge across car, LCV & HGV & all relating legislation especially around Operator Licencing and is willing to work towards attaining a fleet management qualification and Transport Manager Certificate of professional Competence
  • OLAT Certification


  • Membership

  • Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport
  • Working towards CPC Qualification
  • Extensive knowledge of Government VOL Operator Licence system and Operator Licence compliance
