EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Payroll and Expenses
  • Minimum 2 years in a managerial position
  • Experience managing and improving Payroll and expense functions
  • Educated to A level or equivalent or have a Finance or Payroll qualification

THE ROLE
You will join a leading shared service and take ownership of the Payroll and expenses system.

You will be responsible for the leadership of payroll and expenses work streams and ensuring all processes and procedures are well governed.


DUTIES

  • Ownership of all UK payroll and expense activities
  • Improve and standardise the UK Payroll & Expenses function
  • Work and support other business units such as the HR department or controls and policies
  • Reconciliation of monthly PL Payroll Accounts
  • Measure performance against target benchmarks
  • Ensure timely resolution of payroll and expense related issues.
  • Responsible for the compliance of internal and external reporting targets
  • Assist with external and internal audit requests
  • Manage the payroll team and ensure performance objectives and appraisals and career development processes are completed.
  • Advise management about any issues and recommend actions to mitigate the problem.
  • Work with external entities to help payroll for companies based overseas
