The role

SGN has an outstanding reputation for building safe experiences for our customers through delivering their gas safely, reliably, and efficiently.

This role is responsible for repairing, replacing, and laying new gas mains and services.

A day will include

Locating and securing gas escapes and gas meter work.
Working in a variety of outdoor environments safely and at times part of a team.
Using computer field systems and achieving high standards of safety and technical competence.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking to work flexibly as you will be working on a rota, meaning out of hours and weekend working is standard.

What you'll need

A flexible attitude to work, and willingness to take on new skills in order to further your career in the gas industry
Communicative and Interpersonal skills, including the ability to connect with members of the public
Core metering competence is a requirement
You will be expected to be flexible and to work variable hours participating in the 24hour standby rota
Demonstrating the ability to working in a physically demanding environment
A full and valid driving license is essential.
