2020 Recruitment are working with our Dalgety Bay based manufacturing client who are looking to add a Document Controller on a permanent basis to their rapidly growing team.
This is a full time 4 day working week office based position.
Reporting to the Quality Manager you will be responsible for updating the BOM and Part Numbers onto the company computer systems ensuring a high level of detail and accuracy.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement document control procedures to ensure efficient handling, storage, and retrieval of documents.
- Ensure all documents comply with relevant quality standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Quality Manager to update and revise documentation in accordance with changes in standards or processes.
- Implement and manage version control processes to track revisions of documents.
- Work closely with various departments to gather, review, and update documents.
- Facilitate communication between different teams to ensure document accuracy.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on document control processes and procedures.
- Raise awareness of the importance of document control in maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare and assist in internal and external audits related to document control.
- Ensure that all documentrelated processes comply with audit requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the document control system.
- Propose and implement enhancements to streamline document management processes.
Key Skills Required
- Proven previous experience within a Document Control Administration role essential
- Must have experience within a manufacturing environment
- Highly motivated and proactive, able to implement and improve due process
- Exceptional communication skills, able to liaise with internal and external stake holders of all levels
- Excellent attention to detail, a passion for processing and repetitive work
- Experience of working with document and management control systems
- Be aware of the company's quality policy and ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- To preserve product quality at all times.
- To comply with all manufacturing standards relevant to the product including planning documentation, work instructions & IPC 610 workmanship standards
- To be willing to raise and discuss issues relating to the Quality of the product and any procedural noncompliances
