£11.39 per hour

Our client is looking for an experienced Business Support - Job Aide/Job Enabler

Job Purpose

As a Job Aide/Job Enabler, this specific role has a particular focus on providing 1:1 support to an individual councillor with disability support needs;
Supporting and developing an elected member to carry out their respective functions effectively and efficiently
Providing timely, efficient, and cost-effective organisational and administrative support
Assisting the elected member in their attendance at external events.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

Providing 1:1 diary management and administrative support.

Providing 1:1 support on the use of MS Office suite, MS Teams and other bespoke ICT systems.

To liaise with appropriate Democratic Services officers to support the elected member

Updating and maintaining records on a range of corporate systems.


Providing a range of meeting support including room booking, virtual meetings, note taking, committee room management, agenda production and organising printing and distribution of papers.


The post holder will require:
A level of technical skill to provide information and advice as appropriate.
An ability to understand and follow procedures with attention to detail.
Experience of planning and organise tasks that must be achieved by specific deadlines.
Experience of providing support/guidance to others.
Good Communication Skills both oral and written.
Experience of working as part of a team.
The ability to work accurately with the minimum of supervision.

The ability to work flexibly, and on occasion at times considered outside of regular office hours, such as occasional evening meetings.

The post holder will also be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within the remit of your area of work, as directed by service management.
