My client are looking to recruit an office based print officer to work in print department providing print estimates, processing orders and recharging final costs.

This will be an a temporary contract for 3 months, with possibility of extensions.


_Job Purpose_
Account managing, liaising and negotiating with internal and external service users (customers, management, departments, organisations etc.) and seek, secure new business, develop and manage existing business and provide appropriate advice to internal andexternal service users


Negotiating with senior officers and management on in-house capacity; negotiating with external suppliers on price and delivery for goods and services.


Lead on the establishment and delivery of medium and small project, work programmes and plans and provide professional and effective solutions that meet the objectives and budgets of the all service users.


Operate and support in the management and maintenance of a print Management Information System (MIS); provide estimations, costs, purchase orders, completing orders for invoicing and entering job details in to the MIS to create technical specifications onworks orders for Production Planning, materials requisitions and Production staff use.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the Senior Print Officer (Services) in planning in order to achieve key objectives and targets for delivery. This will include proactively seeking and establishing business opportunities to their conclusion.
  • Monitor project budgets and workloads and provide progress reports on projects and orders as required by service users, senior officers and management and take appropriate action on variances by exception.
  • Provide excellent service continually striving to improve efficiency, effectiveness and actively looks for ways of improving services and outcomes for the service and service users.
  • Lead on the establishment and delivery of medium and small project, work programmes and plans and provide professional and effective solutions that meet the objectives and budgets of the all service users.
  • Manage the technical specifications of all the print services; including fulfilment, direct marketing, variable data, mailing and distribution.
  • Operate and support in the management of Optimus 2020 management information system (MIS) an approved exception to BMS for both the graphics and print services (or similar computerised solutions)
  • Support in the management and maintenance of a document repository system, admin systems and processes and business critical stock levels (publications ordering catalogue of preprinted collateral e.g. from corporate stationary to invoices and financialcheques) for the whole Council.
  • Experience of working in a similar role required
  • Experience of print estimation essential.
  • Working knowledge of printing processes, both Litho and digital is desirable but not essential

Working Hours:
Up to 37 hours per week (Office Based)


Pay:
£10.81
