There is huge scope within this role to develop your health and safety knowledge and career within a large organisation.

Your role will focus on co-ordinating activity to ensure depot is meeting company and legal health and safety compliance requirements.

You'll be ensuring risk assessments are up to date, collate data to produce reports and follow up on remedial action plans to ensure health and safety standards are achieved, maintained and continuously improved.

We'll look for your support to share awareness of best practice with the depot team via meetings and engaging noticeboards.

You'll co-ordinate and facilitate health and safety action group meetings at site, as well as support wider Group initiatives via the roll out of company policy and procedures.

You'll complete activity linked to the ISO45001 accreditation for the site and wider business including carrying out safety inspections across all shifts which will mean you need to be flexible with regards to working different hours from time to time.

To join us as the Health and Safety Coordinator you'll have a keen interest in health and safety, previous experience working within the industry as a Rep, Administrator or Advisor would be an advantage but not essential and a high level of integrity, as at times, you'll be dealing at times with confidential information.

You will have strong administration skills including being comfortable with using Microsoft office - Word, Excel and Power point.

This is a busy environment, so you'll enjoy working in a fast paced role where you'll be working to tight deadlines and will need to be able to prioritise effectively.

You'll be a self-starter and be able to work using your own initiative, with great communication and interpersonal skills so that can build great working relationships with colleagues at all levels.

In return we offer a great basic salary, generous holiday allowance plus the option to purchase more, pension plus huge discounts on award
- winning products. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to further enhance your skills through our industry leading Learning & Development programmes so if you don't already hold an IOSH or NEBOSH General Certificate qualification we'll provide the sponsorship so you can achieve this.

People join us for the stability and security. But they stay for our fun and friendly culture that supports everyone to be the best they can be.

Join us and discover all sorts of opportunities to develop your career with us, as well as a range of great benefits.
