Opportunity description:
Stanton House is exclusively working with a leading UK retail business who are looking to hire a Financial Business Partner.
As the Finance Business Partner, you shall partner across multiple stakeholder groups, in line with the commercial finance strategy of the business to deliver the Groups growth and financial targets.
You shall also play a key role in the continued strategic development of the Finance function in support of the wider organisational strategy.
Responsibilities shall include but not limited to:
- Continual assessment of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and measure the financial performance of the Group
- of both "what & why"
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives and optimise commercial performance. Ensure a close and continuous relationship with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitoring the business objectives and activities to drive decisions that yield the greatest commercial benefit.
- Production of relevant sales and margin reporting, providing proactive actionable insight to improve financial performance. This will include undertaking complex analysis and extrapolation of the value drivers of performance (financial or other), ensuring continual reporting against such to inform business assessment and actions.
- Provide financial support and guidance for new product development initiatives, pricing strategies, and investment decisions.
- Prepare and present financial reports, presentations, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Partner and support into marketing, product, operations, technology, and transformation teams to support delivery of budgets / forecasting and projects, whilst also ensuring robust cost control measures are in place.
- Partner with the business on annual and periodic commercial discussions.
- Be a finance representative for committees and boards where required.
To be suitable for this role you must have the following:
- Qualified accountant with proven experience as a credible Finance Business Partner.
- Has excellent commercial acumen, taking the time to understand business objectives and focusing on activity to yield the greatest commercial benefit.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Solid understanding of key financial concepts and commercial accounting principles.
- Ability to challenge norms, processes, and ways of working and drive positive change
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to nonfinancial stakeholders.
- Detailoriented with strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Demonstrable ability to influence senior personnel within large organisation and nonfinance stakeholders.
