Order Management Specialist - Manchester, United Kingdom - Huntress
Description
An Agricultural Company based in Manchester is seeking a Order Management Specialist to join their team on a contract basis for 12 months initially. (Hybrid working 2 days in office, 3 days remote)
About This Job:
- Managing the End to End order processing, related documentation, data management (as defined)
- To ensure customer service and on time supply performance is delivered following processes and system settings
- To achieve high service level and internal and external customer satisfaction
Accountabilities:
- Effectively follow the key business processes to ensure supply performance is delivered
- Ensure daily and on time Order Processing, Invoice creation including initiation of Master Data updates, Customer Profiles and price agreements in SAP
- Provide guidance on setup of new flows and ensure accurate set up of all related master data, accounts and Pricing
- Ensure Hub Operation activities are carried out in accordance with financial compliance rules.
- Ensure our licence to operate is maintained by full adherence to policies and processes
- Proactively communicate with market, supply contacts and crossfunctional stakeholders to identify and correct issues in a timely fashion
- Develop skills and knowledge to support added value activities such as forecast acquisition projects, improvement work, logistics expertise etc.
- Effectively share information to the overall benefit of Logistics and Order Management.
- Help to define and improve processes and ways of work in accordance with both business and compliance requirements.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Detailed understanding of Supply Chain Processes & Order Management processes across EAME
- Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) & trade compliance within a multinational company
- Crossfunctional knowledge with emphasis on familiarity with Sales and Marketing (e.g. new product introductions, lifecycle management)
- SAP SD/MM module (O2C/D&C processes) – excellent user knowledge
- Foreign trade knowledge and Export business expertise
- Sales/commercial experience and knowledge
- Proven experience in a similar position, order management or commercial
- Proven experience in a chemical or pharmaceutical Industry
- Focus on cost control and process optimization
- Ability to work under pressure
- Customer service experience

- Process design & documentation
- Microsoft office tools literacy
- Open minded communicator and negotiator
- Comfortable in a multicultural environment
- Initiative and proactive approach
- Efficient organization of daily work
- Team player
- Commodities Trading Experience
- Basic understanding of Finance processes, and experience in managing Letter of Credit and Cash Against Document payment types
- Exposure to executing orders and interacting with multiple parties crossregionally
Education/Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent working experience in Business or Supply Chain
- Full command of English language, other languages a plus
