This is predominately a systems based role which has a significant element of people management and production scheduling.

It is site based in Lichfield with the occasional off site meeting at suppliers and customers alike.

• Buying an Expediting
• Using historical data and current order demands to identify chemical and factored good purchases

Generate Purchase Orders:
issue and manage deliveries

• Be responsible for the accuracy of system data and completeness
• Maintain leadtimes and minimum order stock levels
• Manage Goodsin
• Production planning
• From system reporting produce weekly production requirements
• Schedule said production requirements and assign materials and people
• Monitor equipment utilisation and operating effectiveness
• Stock control
• Maintain records of raw materials, components and labels
• Sign off invoices and deal with discrepancies
• Carry out regular stock checks: organise, execute and report findings
• Own label customers:
• Communicate stock levels
• Provide production dates, and
• Manage free issue items
• Others
• Support marketing: preplan promotional activity
• Chair daily/weekly production meeting with production supervisors monitoring progress and agree local amendments in weekly schedule accordingly
• Deal with customer specific queries: complaints or otherwise
• Populate system data:
• Assigning new product code and entering system formulations and bill of materials
• Support new business tendering through formulation development and materials costing
• Produce and maintain product registration and compliance to standards
• Continuous Improvement
• Develop new and existing formulations
• Maintain manufacturing instructions
• Expedite MOQs, costs and leadtimes of new chemicals.
• Liaise with customer services with respect to production lead times of finished and factored goods
• Support production with respect to machine maintenance and process improvement
• Setup standard operating procedures from process studies and time monitoring where necessary
