We are now recruiting for a Rewind Machine Operator to convert large printed rolls of materials into the finished customer specified format, utilizing our in-house finishing equipment.

The conversion process is linked to the printing process, with the two ultimately working in tandem as a 'cell'.

The conversion process is also a crucial second stage quality gate, and as such a keen eye for detail is essential.


Rewind Machine Operator - Accountabilities

  • Operate within Company safety policy at all times.
  • Knowledge and ability to utilize all inspection machinery to achieve highest possible quality with maximum output and minimum waste.
  • Maintain a tidy work area at all times.
  • Key Performance Indicators: Conformance to Plan, Quality (frequency and scale) and Waste

What we need from you:

A reasonable level of fitness is required as the role involves some physical activity e.g. lifting & bending.

  • Able to embrace Saica vision and values
  • Able to communicate effectively with colleagues
  • Willing to challenge standard ways of doing things if there's a better way
  • Experience of working towards kpi's and how to achieve them
  • Able to operate effectively and maintain standards whilst working to tight production schedules
  • Strong attention to detail able to stay focused and flag any issues calmly and clearly
  • Collaborates with others to achieve common goals
  • Active contributor to the shift team willing to flex and help others when requirements demand
  • Understands customer needs high focus on quality and order deadlines
  • Willingness to work overtime as and when business requirements demand
  • Puts safety first unwilling to compromise on standards to complete a job
