We are looking for two full-time Assistant Transport Planners to join our Environment and Place service in the Infrastructure Planning Team.

The Infrastructure Planning Team is part of the Major Infrastructure Delivery Service within Growth and Economy Directorate and supports the delivery of a half a £billion plus capital infrastructure programme over the coming years.


The programme is expected to run until 2031 and involves joint initiatives between the private and the public sector, providing an unparalleled opportunity to include yourself in a county-wide challenge.

About the role:

You will be undertaking a variety of Transport Infrastructure Planning activities to support the Council's objectives.

You will assist in the timely delivery of key transport infrastructure projects supporting the ambitious policies within the Local Transport and Connectivity Plan, as well as supporting the delivery of much needed housing and economic growth within the County.


About you:


You may have an interest in transport and delivery of new infrastructure to support new and existing communities and want to increase your experience and working knowledge of transport planning and delivering infrastructure.


An added benefit would be previous experience of Transport Planning with a private or Local Authority organisation but professional development is important to us and right person will be willing to learn and grow within the team.
