Fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful chemical business in a management role.

Following internal promotion and another year of record sales, the organisation seeks to recruit a proven Production Manager to this pivotal role.

Overseeing a smallproduction team manufacturing high value/low volume specialist products, you will be a proven leader with a background in Chemical or Pharmaceutical industries.

The organisation operates in a highly regulated sector and exports 80% of finished goods.
You will take ownership of all areas of production including planning and purchasing. The business is incredibly agile and always seeking new product lines and areas to invest.

This is a company that really is recession proof and has never had to restructure or downsize, quite the opposite Their staff are well developed and are constantly reviewed for further training.

The facilities are cutting edge with no corners cut.


Purpose of Position:


  • Support the Group Operations Manager by managing the day to day running of the polymer production, CNC machining and despatch teams and deputise as required.
  • Ensuring all production requirements are met in terms of safety, quality, quantity, cost, and time whilst achieving high levels of customer satisfaction, both internally and externally.

Directly Reporting to:


  • Group Operations Manager

Knowledge & ExperienceEssential

  • A proven track record and level of experience of working in a manufacturing environment ideally with a SME
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of technical production processes
  • Previous experience of leading a team of people
Advantageous

  • ERP software experience
  • SAP system
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification

  • Can to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, accountability and flexibility.
  • Highly motivated, with a positive attitude to all aspects of the role
  • Proactive approach to housekeeping and waste minimisation
  • Excellent problem solving and organisational skills
  • High level of computer skills particularly MS Word, Excel and Outlook
