We now have a combined installed capacity of 700 MW across nearly 50 sites dedicated to supporting critical national infrastructure and the UK's energy transition to a low-carboneconomy.


A full-service Independent Power Producer (IPP), our client is focused on meeting the growing demand for balancing services in the UK electricity market through the development, construction, and ownership of natural gas-fired engine plants and battery storagesystems.

The management team has vast experience in this field, with strong financial backing to grow a premier-generation business.


The role


We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager, who will be identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and partnerships in different energy markets to drive growth.


What you'll be doing

  • You will be Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new partnerships or new Ventures to deploy battery Storage the in European Energy Market and other Markets
  • You will be supporting the creation of strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities in Europe and other target markets to drive company growth.
  • You will be delivering a bold stakeholder engagement strategy, building and maintaining relationships with key actors across the European Energy Sector.
  • You will be monitoring the market actively and building relationships with industry partners keeping up to date with new market trends on storage development and deployment in different markets.
  • You will be assessing the big picture and contributing in the due diligence of key acquisitions, partnerships and opportunities.
  • You will be supporting New Business department to generate diverse leads and build a proposal/strategy for execution involving different members of the team.
  • You will be conducting market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in other energy markets. And you will prepare and deliver presentations and proposals for internal/external stakeholders.

Person Specification

Qualifications (Academic/ Professional)

  • Essential_
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, business, engineering or related field.
  • Desirable_
  • Business and Engineering degree

Experience

  • Essential_
  • Strong understanding of the UK energy market or other European/global energy markets.
  • Knowledgeable of Energy Storage and other technologies deployed in European or Global Energy markets.
  • Experience generating leads and closing transactions/partnerships.
  • Strong experience using excel and manipulating/ interpreting trends and data.
  • Comfortable in a fastpaced private equity environment.
  • Desirable_
  • Experience developing or understanding financial modeling.
  • Strong background in business development and experience in the energy industry in the UK or European Markets.
