Underwriting Operations Assistant, Financial Lines

Role Overview
Proactively and confidently supports the Underwriting Operations Manager with the day-to-day running of the DUAL Financial Lines team. Working within a fun, energetic and fast paced environment.


Role responsibilities

  • Maintains underwriting spreadsheets and data entry in the underwriting system,
  • Captures and reviews data quality for system processors located in Pune, India.
  • Actively investigates data anomalies and inaccuracies, with ability to feedback results to managers,
  • Liaising with Finance, Brokers and Underwriters to facilitate the reduction of aged debt and unallocated cash,
  • Assists in managing Underwriters administration i.e. filing of correspondence, slips, proposal forms, etc,
  • Supporting the Underwriters within the team with administrative duties;
  • Conducting sanction screening on Insureds,
  • Accepting slips and endorsements on PPL on behalf of Underwriters,
  • Creating Insureds records within the Underwriting system and supporting processors with booking risks, when necessary,
  • Working to strict deadlines and managing teams expectations, with regular communication,
  • Proactively liaises with brokers, when required,
  • Liaises with other teams within DUAL such as Audit, Compliance, Marketing, IT and Finance,
  • Proactively and collaboratively works with the team and external providers, to implement and test a new Underwriting System,
