The Burford Recruitment Company are working on behalf on a market leading financial services firm in Burford, who are looking to recruit a proactive Office Manager.

The Burford office is the administrative centre for the Group where the finance, administration and compliance functions are based. This role would suit a highly organised administrator who enjoys working in a varied, fast paced, time sensitive role. Thisis an office-based role, working in a beautiful converted barn along with 4 other team members and the Director.


As Office Manager, your daily tasks will include:

  • Answering incoming calls and directing to the relevant person/team.
  • Monitoring the admin inboxes and responding to queries by the end of each working day.
  • Provide administration support to the underwriting team.
  • Generating data reports in relation to claims, vehicle types and premiums.
  • Prioritise renewal allocation and process adjustments accurately and promptly.
  • Effectively manage and resolve broker queries.
  • Mentor, train and support junior members of the administration team

Skills required:


  • Previous administration experience in a fastpaced office environment, financial services experience desirable.
  • Proactive, positive mindset and good problem solver.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently to wide range of internal and external clients'.
  • Strong attention to detail, numerate and excellent organisational skills.
  • Previous experience supervising or mentoring team members
  • Ability to take ownership and responsibility for own workload whilst overseeing the other members of the administrative team

  • 8:30am
  • 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (office based)
