Purchase Ledger Clerk
circa £25,000 to £28,000
City centre Manchester
We are currently looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a friendly Finance Team, based in Manchester City Centre on a full-time permanent basis of 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Key responsibilities:
- Processing high volume invoices.
- Set up new supplier accounts, including banking details.
- Contacting suppliers with invoice queries and following up on these queries.
- Reconciling purchase ledger balances with supplier statements.
- Sending invoices for authorisation
Required skills and experience:
- Strong IT, numeracy, and analytic skills, with great attention to detail
- The ability to prioritise and work efficiently, with a positive and cando attitude.
- Ability to build relationships, both with suppliers and internally, using excellent communication skills.
- Preferred knowledge and experience on Sage Intact but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Extensive experience of purchase ledger in ahigh volume environment
- Ability to use Office 365 software such as Word Excel, PowerPoint, One Drive.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to work on its own and as part of a team.
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop.
