Techtronic Industries (UK) Limited is part of the global TTI group, who are world leaders in cordless technology. TTI manufacture and sell power tools across the world. TTI UK distributes Milwaukee and Ryobi products through a variety of channels to retailcustomers and end users. We continue to grow in an established and stable market.

We have vacancies for 2 Area Sales Managers (Midlands and South England) within our UK Milwaukee Team.

This role will work in the Independent Trade sales Team promoting and selling the complete PPE Milwaukee range into new and existing dealers.


To be considered for this role, you will ideally be based in the Midlands and/or South Regions of the UK.

You must hold a full UK Driving License.


The successful individuals will operate within their own defined territory reporting to the UK Sales Manager working alongside the existing established sales team with the main focus on developing and growing the sales of the targeted PPE category into amix of established existing and all new targeted accounts, using their passion and commitment to our brand and more essentially their belief in the added benefit for all customers to be carrying this exciting and ever expanding range of high quality PersonalProtection Equipment which is a must buy for all key demographics that access our product.

These individuals will be key to the success of this key pillar category for the future of the brand.

Exact defined sales territory within the Midlands/South will be determined upon successful applicants.

Key Responsibilities;

  • The ability to work under your own initiative to coordinate and implement the Milwaukee growth strategy, focusing on planned pricing structure and sales growth
  • Essential to the role is relationship building with the assigned existing/ new customers and to work with the existing sales team members to aid the development and growth sales of the accounts within the assigned territory on the Milwaukee PPE range ofproducts
  • To assist in achieving the annual business plans in line with the business unit strategy
  • Maximize turnover and profitability with existing accounts to achieve overall business unit targets
  • Identify and deliver any new opportunities for business growth within existing and new accounts through strategic product range development and promotional planning
  • Provide effective forecasting figures across the range to your line manager with monthly turnover estimates in line with target and budget expectations
  • Effective communication in keeping the internal stakeholders such as management, finance, logistics, marketing, product development and customer services up to date with key developments in accounts and regular market intelligence
  • Ability to explore alternative distribution channels to further grow the trade business and drive our products within the UK
What you will need;

  • An understanding of the specified Milwaukee product market and ability to build that knowledge into business objectives to help achieve growth
  • Relevant Sales and Marketing Qualification desirable but not essential
  • Relevant field sales experience gained within the PPE sector highly desirable, with a proven track record of sales selling to independent retailers and wholesalers.
  • Strong selling and negotiation skills to help build business relations and to further grow/strengthen these to develop market share and profitability
  • Passion and enthusiasm for our brand
  • Ability to work closely with colleagues to achieve personal, team and company targets
  • Sound product knowledge and commitment to excellent customer service
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong planning and territory development skills
  • Good IT skills (mainly power point, excel and word) to analyse and report data to the management team to aid with territory evaluations and to create appropriate presentations for customers in the marketplace.
  • Effective time management skills with ability to work with mínimal supervision
  • UK travel and occasional European travel will be required
