GoodGym is a charity that combines exercise with volunteering.

Our members run, walk, or cycle to do physical tasks for community projects and to support isolated and older people.

Sounds good? Why not join us? We're looking for a Trusts and Grants Officer to support us with our mission to create happier, healthier and better connected communities

You'll help us to secure funding for our national work with older people as well as helping us to bring GoodGym to more communities across the UK (and beyond ).

ABOUT YOU
You'll have experience of securing income from trusts, foundations and other grant-making organisations.

You'll know how to build and maintain relationships with funders.

You'll understand and share a passion for our values and mission: creating happier, healthier and better connected communities. You might even be a GoodGymer yourself.

You're organised and can work to deadlines set to us from funders, commissioners and councils.

You'll understand the wider funding landscape and help GoodGym to connect to opportunities to address key social issues: isolation, disconnection, physical inactivity.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Maintaining a realistic pipeline of prospective funding opportunities, working alongside the Head of Development and CEO to help us hit our income target.
  • Producing reports for funders to demonstrate our impact.

As a small team we're also looking for someone who can put their skills to use more widely, this might include writing up case studies for external use, producing bits of copy for our newsletters or attending conferences/networking events.

WHY JOIN US?
Be part of our important mission to bring communities together and reduce loneliness and isolation. GoodGym is a scalable approach to tackling major social issues and you'll play a key role in it.

  • Friendly, positive and supportive team with a genuine purpose
  • Growing organisation with national reach at a pivotal point of change
  • Opportunities to work on projects in relation to diversity, women's safety and the environment
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Flexible working and remote options or access to our office in central London (33 Holborn)
  • Regular in person socials over the year
  • Selfdevelopment budget

We're a small organisation with big ambitions which means everyone gets involved in day-to-day decision making and can make a real difference to the work that we do.

You'll have access to formal and informal development opportunities, depending on what you need.
