Our Manufacturing client based in Sunderland have an exciting opportunity to join their finance team as an Assistant Accountant. They are looking for someone to join them on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an organisation looking to develop internal processes and reports. The role is 39 hours per week with a salary of £35,000 to £40,000 (depending upon experience).

As well as the salary, there are lots more benefits to working in this organisation, including:

Your key duties will include:

Reconciliation of high volume transactions
Fixed assets analysis and reporting
Management accounts preparation
P&L analysis (sales, materials, labour and overheads)
Develop reports to understand profitability by project
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Support import / export customs requirements
Sales invoice selfbill processing
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

What you need:

Excellent numeracy skills
Part or fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
Ability to reconcile complex accounts
Confident with Excel and Word and quick to learn other systems will need to have the ability to navigate around accounting systems
Ability to develop good customer/colleague relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
