Residential Family Support Night Shift Worker,
We are looking to recruit a team of night family workers within our new Residential Family Assessment Centre. You would be based at our provision in Dukinfield. The service consists of communal spaces and private bedrooms which can accommodate up to 6 families.
Hours:20.15 to 08.45
Shift Patterns:
Waking night on a rolling rota system of 4 nights on 4 nights off and will include weekends and bank holidays.
Pay:
From £12.50 ph
Key Responsibilities:
- Support with domestic tasks to ensure the living environment is maintained.
- Support families with daily living tasks and activities.
- Manage medication and associated records.
- Health and safety checks.
- Have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
- Follow the families individual placement plans and report any changes/concerns.
- Liaise with other professionals.
- Complete observations both in person and via CCTV.
- Provide sensitive feedback to families.
- Build good working relationships with families who may initially be reluctant to accept support.
- Maintain the organisation's recording processes keeping accurate and up to date records.
- Work in accordance with the organisation's policies and procedures.
- Participate in handover meetings.
- To attend professional supervision and case load supervision with either the Manager, Deputy Manager or the resident Social Worker and participate in the production of own reflective practice.
- To attend appropriate training courses as arranged, in order to meet any training needs identified, continue their professional development and enhance skills, in line with the organisations' training policies.
About You:
- Enthusiastic, creative and resourceful
- Adaptable and versatile, be able to work independently and within a team
- Attention to detail and reliability are essential.
- Previous residential experience/experience in a relevant role as well as an NVQ level 3 qualification in health and social care/childcare or equivalent.
- A willingness to train to a L4 qualification in working with families
- As part of the team, you will consistently provide quality experiences for our resident parents and their children. You will maintain a high standard of individual practice consistent with National Minimum Standards and Codes of Practice.
The post holder will be required to work within the legislative framework and company policies and procedures.
