Description

Microsoft Research, Health Futures (UK), is looking for an AI resident (fixed-term researcher) in multi-modal deep learning and generative AI.

You can be part of a multi-disciplinary team that values collaboration, composed of researchers, software developers, and clinicians.

The research will involve cloud-scale deep learning and advancing state-of-the-art visual-language deep/generative modeling techniques to help clinicians achieve more and improve existing healthcare workflows.

This role offers a unique opportunity for novel research in deep learning and to work on healthcare technology with the potential to impact millions of people around the world.

Responsibilities:

Conduct cuttingedge deep learning research alongside a team of experts in machine learning, software development, and clinical practice.
Design, implement, and evaluate machine learning solutions which take into account clinical factors and responsible AI.
Share findings with product groups and through blogposts and publications in reputable academic venues.
Contribute to an evolving team with a growth mindset, creating clarity and influencing the team strategy.

Qualifications:

Required:

PhD degree (or ontrack to complete) in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Physics or a related area.
Impact driven mindset and ability work and learn in a collaborative and diverse environment.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Handson experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, etc.), and software engineering skills for rapid and accurate development.
