Description
Microsoft Research, Health Futures (UK), is looking for an AI resident (fixed-term researcher) in multi-modal deep learning and generative AI.
You can be part of a multi-disciplinary team that values collaboration, composed of researchers, software developers, and clinicians.The research will involve cloud-scale deep learning and advancing state-of-the-art visual-language deep/generative modeling techniques to help clinicians achieve more and improve existing healthcare workflows.
This role offers a unique opportunity for novel research in deep learning and to work on healthcare technology with the potential to impact millions of people around the world.

- Conduct cuttingedge deep learning research alongside a team of experts in machine learning, software development, and clinical practice.
- Design, implement, and evaluate machine learning solutions which take into account clinical factors and responsible AI.
- Share findings with product groups and through blogposts and publications in reputable academic venues.
- Contribute to an evolving team with a growth mindset, creating clarity and influencing the team strategy.
Qualifications:
Required:
- PhD degree (or ontrack to complete) in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Physics or a related area.
- Impact driven mindset and ability work and learn in a collaborative and diverse environment.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Handson experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, etc.), and software engineering skills for rapid and accurate development.
