We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant in Chronic Pain to work with us at
University Hospitals Plymouth.


We are looking for a dedicated doctor ready to work in a Trust that puts their patients at the heart of everything they do.


This Role is to start ASAP with a 6 month placement opportunity (with possibility to be longer) within the excellent team.


Although this role would be predominantly based in Plymouth University Hospitals Trust there may be the opportunity to work extra shifts across any of our partner Trusts.

Payment method: PAYE we do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies


General workload includes:


  • General clinical duties include the reporting, vetting and prioritisation of imaging requests,
  • Successful applicants would be expected to contribute to the general diagnostic neuroradiology service as well as partake in audit, teaching, research, and MDT meetings.
- attending clinical-radiological meetings and providing on-call services for diagnostic neuroradiology.

  • The post holder will contribute to the neurooncology, neuroendocrine, skull base and potentially the Head and Neck MDT, the multiple sclerosis MDT as well as other clinical meetings

Doctors Direct recruit to the highest of NHS standards and all applicants for this role should meet pre-screening requirements before applying:

  • Full GMC licence to practice
  • MRCPCH Part I (Or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 12 months General Professional Training or equivalent
  • At least 18 months paediatric training, including 6 months neonatology.
  • APLS or equivalent
  • Child Protection level 2 Course
  • Must be able to cover nights and long days
