Summary:


  • Salary: £35,850 to £36,493 (London) / £31,994 (National) per annum
  • Main Activity: Supporting our influence over government policy

We're now seeking a Policy Officer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.


The Role


As a Policy Officer, you will support our policy team to influence government policy as it relates to the housing sector.


You will help us to understand our members' challenges and priorities and keep up to date with government policy and its impact on the sector, as well as the ambitions of housing associations.

Ensuring our policy work is robust and credible, you will inform it through evidence, information and insight.

You will also support members to become more informed on key issues by producing high quality briefings and attending events to represent our work.


You will also engage with welfare and universal credit, supply and building safety issues, leading on projects with specific areas of responsibility.

About You
To be considered as a Policy Officer, you will need:

  • Experience of working in a job role supporting national policy development
  • Strong experience of building and developing relationships with stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the methods used in policy development and influencing
  • Knowledge and experience gained from working in a policy team
