The Post:
As a major Strategic Business Unit within NHS National Services Scotland, the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) plays a vital role in the health of the people of Scotland.
This full-time position has become available within our testing site at the Jack Copland Centre, Heriot Watt campus, Edinburgh. The position provides an exciting and challenging opportunity for a suitably experienced, qualified and motivated healthcare professional.
The donor testing team provide an essential service towards the provision of healthcare in Scotland. The departments are responsible for testing specialised blood components from whole blood, tissue and apheresis collections.
The post holder will be a member of a management team working within the testing department.
As part of that team, they will work to ensure that service delivery is carried out in a timely and efficient manner and to the highest of quality standards necessary to meet regulatory requirements.
Location and Working Pattern:
SNBTS National Centre Herriot Watt University 52 Research Avenue North, Currie EH14 4BE
Monday to Friday/Sunday, 37.5 hours per week
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
