Digital Press Service Engineer

Location:
Leicester & Southampton


Salary:
Up to £37k, plus OT and Benefits


Overview


To follow-up on remote diagnosis, resolving the problem as quickly as possible to enable the customer to remain operational at all times.

You will be expected to install, configure, maintain, and repair printing press systems as well as demonstrate a proactiveapproach and contribute to maintenance related activities.

Working on complex systems requiring quick learning and understanding; as well as the ability to rapidly identify the nature of complex issues and to provide optimal solutions.

Tools, equipment, company phone and car are all supplied


Responsibilities

  • Follow up on remote diagnosis, resolving the problem as quickly as possible to enable the customer to remain operational at all times
  • To install, configure, maintain, and repair printing press systems
  • Working on complex systems you will require quick learning and understanding with the ability to rapidly identify the nature of complex issues and to provide suitable solutions
  • Ensure effective communications are maintained with Area Manager's and other Veritek staff as required.
  • Be responsible for ensuring safe working practices under the Health & Safety Acts.

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • A professional with a technical background covering both mechanics and electronics with at least three years of experience in a similar field engineer position and environment.
  • Dedication, teamwork, and a proactive attitude.
  • Previous field experience with support of high end or complex electromechanical equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills down to electronics component level
  • Knowledge of electronic/electrical components including 3 phase mains power.
  • Ability to read circuit diagrams
  • Valid driving licence

Qualifications
3 GCSE's or equivalent, to include Maths and English desirable.

Ideal academic level preferred:
City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC, HNC / HND in Engineering
