Production Operative

Keele, near Stoke on Trent, Cheshire

45 hours per week, 7 am-7 pm

Salary:
£25,506, rising to £28,825 after successful completion of the probation period

Production Operatives to join us at our site in

Keele on a permanent basis.

Our Keele site is based close to the M6 motorway in Cheshire. It has modern production lines that support the production of quality hand-made Marley roof tiles. We currently have around 140 colleagues here including production, administration, quality, safety, and store colleagues. What's the mission?

You will mainly work within the concrete Tiles department, operating manual and semi-automated machinery, hand-powered tools, and mobile plant such as Forklift trucks to move stock around the site.

You'll work as part of a skilled team to manufacture high-quality products using the best technology and techniques but most importantly, you'll put health and safety at the heart of everything you do

You will be required to provide our site with regular housekeeping such as cleaning, painting, and other handyperson jobs.

  • You will work
    45 hours per week and your working pattern will be from
    7 am 7 pm (on average you will work 4 days each week and this may include a weekend).

What are the mission-critical skills?

  • Experience working in a Production/Manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential
  • Good group working spirit
  • Basic computer user experience will be required
  • Current accredited FLT licence (preferred but not essential)
  • Good level of English, verbal and written
  • A forwardthinking individual continually looking at improving processes and wastes
  • Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is advantageous
