Work with Children with Challenging Behaviours

Do you have personal or professional based experience working with challenging behaviours? Have you worked with children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? Are you able to support children to manage and regulate challenging behaviours?

The Job


Working in schools across Northampton, Kettering, Corby, Wellingborough - your role will be part teaching classroom assistant, and part pastoral support worker.

Never a day the same as the last, you will be responsible for supporting the classroom teacher to enable them to teach effectively
- ensuring that the children you will care for are kept on task, helped to manage their behaviour, and to engage and communicate with their peers and teachers.

You'll need to be emotionally resilient, and able to handle whatever challenges the day throws at you. You'll be driven, determined, and passionate about setting up the children for the best possible lives.

You'll Be

  • Experienced (personal or professional) working with young people with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or other disabilities and needs
  • Able to hold student attention and focus with excellent communication skills
  • Promote happiness, selfreliance and encourage positive interactions
