Please note:
you must have driving license for at least 2 years and a vehicle. A HGV or PCV license would be an advantage.

The Connections Bus Project (check out our website), provides youth services across Cambridgeshire. These include open access youth clubs based in buildings, on our youth buses and from our youth van.

This includes up to 14 youth clubs a week and we are looking for a mix of experienced and new youth workers to help in the running of these clubs.


You will be offered regular weekly sessions to suit your availability as well as the opportunity to fill in when other youth workers are absent.

You will be joining our team of over 20 sessional youth workers supported by an Assistant Youth Work Manager and Project Manager, and overseen by our board of trustees.

We are currently needing a youthwork
who can also drive our youth bus (double-decker) for term time only sessions, potentially:

  • Mondays from 6pm
  • Wednesdays from 3:30pm & from 6pm
  • Thursdays from 6pm

Your duties will include:
- drive double decker youth bus from depot to venue
- informal conversations with young people
- one-to-one and group work/discussions with young people helping them to explore their own feelings and views
- organising and leading positive activities
- helping set-up and pack down

Some experience of working/volunteering with young people is required. Those with suitable qualifications or experience may be considered for Lead Youth Worker role.


You will be required to have a full driving license for at least 2 years and be aged 25 or over.

£12.82-£14.89 per hour
