Steelcraft (NE) Ltd is an SME manufacturer of architectural metalwork including balustrade, balconies, railings & gates. It serves a range of customers, particularly local authorities, main contractors and housebuilders in the north east of England.

The company has built a strong reputation for quality and service, and is looking to fill a vacancy in the operations team.

We are looking to appoint a full-time Project Administrator.

This role would be central to communication between customers and internal departments to ensure successful delivery of projects from inception to handover.


Working as a 'twin' to our Installation Manager/Contracts manager this team will use telephone and written communication to liaise and build relationships with key customer personnel including site agents, construction teams and quantity surveyors.

Scheduling works, communicating on site dates and ensuring our systems and records are accurate, delivering best practice customer service.

This role is the pivotal link between the office and the site teams of both our customers and Steelcraft installers.


The PA would be expected to:

  • Act as main point of contact for customers.
  • Represent the company and uphold our core values of quality, service and collaboration.
  • Support the Contract Manager to manage around 100 live contracts with regular customer calloffs and moving deadlines.
  • Maintain paper and electronic records relating to their communications.
  • Be commercially aware and recognise deviations from quoted or contracted agreements.
  • Contribute to the project budget review process.
  • Work closely with our Technical and Operations teams to achieve customer goals and to efficiently schedule work.
  • Support the contract manager in handling incoming snags and complaints, working with the team to resolve and achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Attend and contribute to regular internal meetings.
Experience of project administration in manufacturing or construction will be highly beneficial.

Salary:
From £25,000.00 per year
