Description
Responsive Engineering are recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector to provide inspection to the fabrication and welding areas.

Working as part of the inspection team you will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured products fully conform to customer requirements, whilst maintaining the company's focus on quality, cost and delivery.


We require a flexible, enthusiastic approach with a can-do attitude and the ability to manage your time effectively whilst working to tight targets and deadlines.


Responsibilities include:

  • Inspection of products in the fabrication and welding area to ensure the correct quality
  • Calibration and validate monitoring and measuring equipment prior to use
  • Liaise with engineering team to clarify inspection and testing requirements.
  • Liaise with goods inward for the inspection of raw materials, components and associated certification
  • Support the production team with inprocess inspection and testing of components for manufacture
  • Maintain product traceability and compliance to required standards
  • Quarantine and identify nonconforming parts to ensure all product nonconformances are accurately reported.
  • Support problemsolving activities and investigations where product or process nonconformance has been identified.
  • Contribute to quality led improvement initiatives and support overall quality performance

Knowledge, experience and skills required include:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment in a Quality control role.
  • Proficient in reading, understanding and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Competent with manual inspection processes using equipment such as tapes, rules, and squares.
  • Ability to write clear and concise inspection reports and work with both metric and imperial units as required.
  • Sound decision making and problemsolving skills
  • CSWIP 3.0 certified (CSWIP 3.1 desirable)
  • PCN Level 2 MPI
  • PCN Level 2 Dye Pen (desirable)
  • PCN Level UT (desirable)
This is a full time, permanent position which offer an attractive employment package, including:
