Audit & Accounts Manager Job Vacancy

Are you looking to join a thriving firm to manage a varied portfolio of clients across a split of audit and accounts? Are you a qualified accountant with experience of managing a team and managing the provision of audit? If so, this Audit & Accounts Managerjob in Cheltenham that we're delighted to be recruiting into on a retained basis, could be for you.

This firm of experienced accountants is looking for an ambitious, technically focused and highly organised professional, with significant management and strong IT skills who can oversee the workforce and WIP for a significant client portfolio for both auditand accounts.

This opportunity will suit someone who is confident in experienced in overseeing first-class client relationships and has excellent commercial acumen.

You'll also possess people management skills and be a great motivator of people and possess the ability to nurture and inspire junior team members as well as the ability to overcome problems and problem solve at a high level.

Job Purpose

Planning and completion of audits for a diverse portfolio of clients.
The allocation of audit work in the field and the office.
Complete the audit file electronically.
Review of statutory accounts.
Prepare tax computations when relevant to audit assignments.
Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, being the goto for support.
Deliver a strong commercial awareness, reviewing opportunities for fee development.
Confidently present work to Partners, completing files to a high standard.
Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance.
Delegate work to, and mentor an audit team, supporting with their learning and development.
Set an example for the team as a natural leader of the team.
Represent the firm at networking opportunities and support the provision of marketing and sales services.

The Successful Applicant

ACA or ACCA qualified with demonstrable accountancy practice experience.
Strong knowledge of audit and general accounting.
Experience managing a team of accountants.
Excellent work ethic.
Selfmotivated and reliable who is eager to progress.
Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.
Good awareness of current affairs.
A cando attitude and a proactive problem solver.
Relationship management.
Commercial awareness and business acumen.
