**About the role: **Grow your potential by becoming a member of the Green Building Renewables team, an expanding network of local experts installing low-carbon and renewables technology, including air and ground source heat pumps, underfloor heating, solar PV, EV charging,and battery storage.


Due to ongoing business growth, we are looking for a Business Support Officer based on-site in our York office, to join the Group Projects Support Team.

Working for the Group Project Support Manager under the direction of the Managing Director to support all business growth, expansion and improvement activity with a particular focus on compliance.

The role requires an organised, self-motivated approach with the ability to multitask. Occasional travel to our other locations across the UK is required.


The successful Business Support Officer will be responsible for areas including:

  • Supporting the Group Project Support Manager in the on-boarding and integration of new businesses.
  • Liaising with third parties in order to conduct relevant checks, receive stock, perform fitouts, and several other areas when opening new premises across the business.
  • Working proactively with the Group Project Support Manager and Project Office to identify areas for business improvement.
  • Bringing together key stakeholders in order to implement change for the business.
  • Placing a key focus on all areas of compliance within the business. Supporting the Group Project Manager to identify areas requiring intervention and taking action to implement appropriate solutions.
  • Providing support and engagement with wider business in ESG, Marketing, Comms, IT, People, and Finance in relation to a variety of GBR activities.

Profile

The successful Business Support Officer will be able to demonstrate:

Essential

  • Experience in supporting business improvement and compliance functions, being handson with project activities from planning through to implementation.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, learning and achieving a good level of understanding around all aspects of the business.
  • Willingness to learn with a professional and friendly nature. Confident to tackle new tasks and activities, and not be afraid to ask questions.
  • Excellent IT skills including proficient use of Microsoft Office, in addition to good filing housekeeping skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise, with a strong eye for detail.
  • Full, clean UK driving license.

Desirable

  • Previous demonstrated project or compliance experience.
  • Property experience.
  • Experience in the renewable energy sector.
