Location:
Inwood House,142 Wakefield Rd, Horbury, Wakefield WF4 5HG


Pay Rate:
£12.25 per hour must be NVQ Level 3 qualified


Hours:
Full Time - 7:00am - 7:00pm across a 2 week rolling rota
(Week 1:
Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun | Week 2: Weds, Thurs, Fri)

About Inwood House:


Step into the welcoming world of Inwood House Nestled amidst the serene landscapes of Horbury, just a stone's throw from Wakefield, Inwood House presents an idyllic setting for residential care.

At Inwood House, we cater to up to 50 residents, providing a warm, family-like atmosphere where currently 31 individuals call home.

Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional, personalised care, with a focus on dementia and residential support. We also offer short-term respite and rehabilitation services, ensuring a comprehensive care experience.


The home boasts several communal lounges, a charming on-site café, a professional hairdressing salon, a spacious dining room, and a sun-drenched room.

These spaces are designed for relaxation and enjoyment, overlooking the splendid views of our gardens. Inwood House is a hive of activity - we offer an array of social opportunities, from engaging craft sessions to karaoke, arts, bingo, and our popular "knit & natter" gatherings, not to mention "fish and chip Fridays"


About the role:

As a Senior Day Care Assistant, you'll be part of a dedicated team providing quality care and support - this pivotal role involves:

  • Coordinate handovers from night senior staff.
  • Delegate tasks to care staff for the day.
  • Manage medication administration.
  • Provide leadership and support to the care team.
  • Assist with meal times.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals and family members
  • Maintain knowledge of care plans

About you:

In order to be considered as a Senior Care Assistant with us, you will need:

  • To embody our values of teamwork, care, integrity, and respect.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • A kind and caring nature with a passion for enriching lives.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience within a care environment, coupled with leadership involvement.
  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
