Axon Moore are working with large business operating across the globe to appoint a French speaking, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA Group Accountant.

The business operates across multiple offices in Europe as well as globally. This is a fully remote role withinthe finance team of a vibrant company in North Manchester.

The role looks after the accounting process for Belgium and France around the month end accounting process, VAT, statutory accounts and would assist with external audit.

This role will also provide support to the Chief Accountants.

It is essential that Frenchis your 1st language or you are fluent in written and spoken French if it is not.

Salary and benefits:

Salary - up to £40,000 DOE, pension matched up to 8%, 30 days holiday 3 statutory days, 50% hybrid working, private healthcare, life insurance 3x annual salary, free products from the company.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting with the monthly closing; posting of intercompany invoices and reconciliations, assisting with submission of trial balances and balance sheet reconciliations.
Preparation of financial statements
Assisting with other statutory requirements linked to the closing of the annual statutory accounts process.
Preparation and submission of Intrastat
Preparation and posting of payments, posting of expenses notes, and following of corporate credit cards
Preparation of external reporting and completion of audit requests at half year and year end
Preparation of tax documentation requested by the authorities
Preparation of customs documentation and any relevant VAT declarations, preparation of the monthly VAT return calculations, ensuring that VAT payments and submission are made on time
Assist with the preparation of the statutory accounts
To provide information and analysis on areas of responsibility to the auditors
To provide the Belgian and French Chief Accountants with support and cover as necessary,any other general daily and ad hoc tasks as required of the role.

Experience & Skill Requirements:

Partqualified CIMA/ACCA qualification
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting processes, particularly with respect to cash flow forecasting and reporting
Strong knowledge of Excel, being able to manipulate data (vlookups, pivot tables etc)
Experience of accounting systems
Ability to multitask, prioritise work and meet deadlines
Demonstrate accuracy and pay attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills approachable and down to earth with good communication skills
