Description
The Faculty of Education is seeking to appoint a part-time (0.2fte) PGCE Primary Teaching Associate.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to increase their involvement with Initial Teacher Education (ITE) by supporting beginning teachers at the start of their teaching career.


The postholder will be an expert primary school practitioner with substantial, recent UK teaching experience of the 3-11 age range specifically and have a proven track record of mentoring beginning teachers against the statutory Teachers' Standards and supporting colleagues' professional development.


The successful applicant will act as a personal tutor, providing individual pastoral support for a small group of highly motivated Primary trainees working in the 3-11 age range.

Significant time will be spent visiting Partnership schools to support the trainees with all aspects of their professional development and classroom practice, liaising with school colleagues and providing feedback on their assignments.

Due to the nature of the role, any offer of employment will be conditional upon the satisfactory completion of a check of the children's barred list and the individual has been judged to be suitable to work with children.
