**Payroll Manager - Permanent (Full time)
**35k-40k Per Annum (dependant on experience)


Duties:


  • Runs fortnightly payrolls across the Group in accordance with operating procedures and deadlines ensuring that all payrolls are processed efficiently, effectively, accurately and are paid on time working to strict deadlines
  • Maintain and monitor the Time and Attendance systems
  • Ensures starters and leavers are processed correctly and in a timely manner, and that appropriate controls are in place
  • Oversees the maintenance of all pension records in line with the regulations set out by the Pension schemes and the Group's requirements
  • Processes payments and statutory/voluntary deductions in accordance with internal authorisation procedures
  • Responsible for monthly reporting of van records
  • Responsible for accurate and complete year end processes and submissions including P11d's meeting strict deadlines set by HMRC
  • Maintains and improves payroll policies and processes, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Ensures and maintains strict confidentiality over employee data and Group information
  • Provides reporting on a regular basis and manage internal, month end and yearend audit deliverables required from the department
  • Answers queries resolving problems and issues promptly, delivering excellent customer service standards and act as the point of contact for any escalated payroll queries
  • Acts as an enthusiastic, positive, and motivated role model for the Department
  • Builds a culture of continuous improvement and openness to change
  • Balancing the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies
  • To perform duties as directed by Manager

Experience Required:


  • Prior experience of sales order processing is essential
  • Knowledge of operating payroll systems (Experience of Sage Payroll would be advantageous)
  • Experience in a payroll control environment and able to demonstrate understanding of technical payroll related issues
  • Enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience of a busy environment
  • Highly organised, with high attention to detail
  • Proven working experience as a Payroll Manager
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company

Hours:
Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week
