They are looking for a procurement professional to come in and support the wider team in managing a wide range of service based spend such as as; IT, Marketing, HR, Professional Services, Travel, Logistics AND SO ON.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Utilising strategic sourcing processes and techniques to ensure competitive supply advantage with the aim of driving improvements and efficiency in the supply chain.
  • Conducts market analysis activities and develops expertise with the market conditions of assigned categories.
  • Develops supplier relationships ensuring, value creation cost reduction and compliance with purchasing policies. Utilises strategic cost management tools and trend forecasts to assist in maximising value of supplier relationships and contracts.
  • Develops category management plans and oversees implementation of new supply arrangements in conjunction with relevant business experts.
  • Leading category teams which include business partner SME's, procurement analysts, contractors, internal/external stakeholders and procurement or business professionals.
  • Formulating fit for purpose contracts.
  • Leading or participating in adhoc project teams.

Competencies / Skills:

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Collaborative and able to build relationships with multiple groups including other business units, higher levels of management and external suppliers.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and capable to complete tasks thoroughly. Ability to discern discrepancies in data and reports.
  • Degree educated (or equivalent)
  • Preferably CIPS Qualified or studying towards qualification
  • Considerable experience of contract review, formulation and execution.
  • Flexible attitude towards working hours
  • Experience in IT or marketing related category sourcing preferable
