Description
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Security Team Leader. Our client is about to embark on a £20 million renovation within the built to rent sector.

Reporting directly to the Estate Security Manager, you will be managing all security personnel and the day-to-day operational issues throughout the shift, providing a central point of contact for service delivery development, performance, measurement, and centralised reporting.

This position is to work 4 days on and 4 off.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all Security Officers under your supervision have undertaken the appropriate site training and are in possession of a valid SIA license to meet industry requirements
Monitor and manage the appearance and behaviours of Security Officers under your supervision, taking remedial action as appropriate and in line with company policy and procedures
Work with the Security Officers in your team to ensure all Security records during your shifts are kept up to date
Work with the Security Officers in your team to confirm all incidents are reported in compliance with customer and company policy and procedures
Assist the Estate Security Manager in developing and sharing best practice, and use of systems and tools to improve service effectiveness
Support the Estate Security Manager in the planning, developing and implementation of staff training, including both routine duties and emergency procedures
Assist the Estate Security Manager in rostering staff as necessary, organising and implementing emergency cover arrangements for outside normal working hours and arranging appropriate cover for holidays and sickness absence
Ensure you hold one-to-one meetings with Security Officers at least once a month, proactively monitoring performance against the Security team KPIs, maintaining positive employee relations, and ensuring coaching, counselling and any investigations are implemented in line with company policy and procedures, as necessary
Support the Estate Security Manager in actively encouraging staff recognition and nominations for awards.
Assist the Estate Security Manager in co-ordinating the recruitment and training of Security staff
Any other reasonable request from the Estate Security Manager
Experience Required
SIA and CCTV SIA Licence required, as this position will consist of a rotation guarding, patrolling and control room
First Aid trained
At least 3 year's experience in Corporate or Estate Security and Customer service
Demonstrable staff management and leadership skills, with ability to coach and motivate a team
Ability to work effectively with people at all levels and to deal with contentious and challenging situations
Excellent command of the English language
Salary £35,000 + excellent benefits/bonus package
