Your new company


You'll be working for an ambitious, well established, private equity backed multi-site retailer based in Watford who have grown successfully over the last 5 years through acquisition and increasing their market share and are looking to establish a financeshared service centre.


Your new role


You'll be working as a Process and Accounting Governance Manager leading to an operational compliance management role that develops the required monitoring and reporting on standards of service delivery (risks, issues, regulation, complaints, quality, controlfailures, money laundering, TCF, etc).

Your duties will include;

  • Develop and lead the monthly oversight of the operational framework
  • Through documented SOPs, support the delivery financially accurate financial information, compliance, efficient proactive finance support and technical finance expertise to internal customers, in particular clinics, BCs
  • Drive standardised processes and procedures across divisions and business groups in the scope of responsibility to deliver efficiency and effectiveness in high volume transactional based accounting
  • Collaborate with C&R Lead & RTR Manager on monthly closing with BC & Peer input, in line with the central timetable
  • Random review of journal entry for timing, support and approval
  • Ensure submodule reporting is inline with
  • Support Management Reporting Analysis for OneStream
  • Ensure month end close processes are planned to support WD4 reporting and facilitate clear variance reporting against forecast and budget, and prior periods. Develop clear channel of communications with BCs and Clnics to facilitate WD4 close and onetimesubmission of One Stream reporting and statutory reporting
  • Support document retention in line with Medivet policy and legal requirements
  • Define and execute SOX planning program, implement program and ensure all documentation supporting primary controls are operational and without risk of deficiency
  • Head of Tax & Treasury requests with the provision of general ledger (GL) information
  • Support Sony Global Treasury Services (SGTS) requests with the provision of GL information
  • Process Improvement, and Service Management
  • Collaborate with the Delivery teams, GFC and the BCs/DODs to build, maintain and leverage positive working relationships.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to continually balance efficiency and improve service to the front line business;
  • Take full consideration of compliance of accounting standards and Corporate Accounting Policy.
  • Optimise tools and systems available to provide automated financial and operational information
  • Mitigate, advise, communicate and resolve any issues which might affect Finance Accounting performance levels or impactful information to Divisions.

What you'll need to succeed


You will need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) ideally with experience working within an accountancy practice although other experience will be considered.

You'll need to have a comprehensive working knowledge of IFRS andideally experience of working within a SSC environment.


What you'll get in return


You'll be paid £60,000-£70,000 per annum and will work a 37.5 hour week in a primarily office based but hybrid capacity.
