Due to the company's continued success, a large manufacturing company based in Medway Towns is recruiting a
Human Resource Assistant to join their friendly team on a permanent basis.


Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be the first point of contact for all basic HR enquiries, whilst delivering a full range of HR administration and working collaboratively with internal customers and external agencies.


If you have previous experience of working in an HR team but are not CIPD qualified, you will be considered.

The main duties of the role will include:

  • Ensuring that all pre-employment checks are carried out
  • Processing starter's and leaver's paperwork
  • Maintaining the Time & Attendance System
  • Assisting in arranging and conducting interviews as and when required
  • Be responsible for the processing and monitoring of sickness absence, issuing return to work forms, highlighting any absence trends or requirements to the HR Manager and health & safety concerns to the H&S Manager
  • Be responsible for producing and maintaining assigned HR reports
  • Coordinating new starter inductions
  • Assisting with arranging disciplinary or grievance meetings, including preparing the relevant documentation
  • Representing HR in disciplinary or grievance meetings as well as absence review meetings
  • Dealing with day to day HR related enquiries.


HR generalist skills including employee relations, recruitment and HR Administration as well as organisational and time management skills are essential for this role.


The hours of work are Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 16:30 and Friday 08:00 - 15:30, 39 hours per week.
