My client is one of the world's largest and fastest-growing manufacturers of components for the automotive and transport industries.


They are looking for an HSE Advisor to help develop, implement, evaluate, and continually improve the company's Health, Safety and Environmental Management System and standards, processes and procedures to meet internal and external requirements within thecompany.


Responsibilities

  • Implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the Safety Improvement Programme.
  • Communicate the Safety Improvement Programme and ensure that all functions of MSSL are aware of and understand their role within the program.
  • In conjunction with the Head of QHSE ensure the delivery of an excellent support service internally and with contractors, and external customers.
  • Define, develop and publish documentation in line with safety improvement programme to reflect best practice.
  • Maintain and report all HSE statistics (including environmental impacts) weekly.
  • Maintain hazard spotting, internal audit and accident reporting systems.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of HSE legislation and advise management and staff accordingly.
  • Engage and liaise with occupational health surveillance monitoring within the site to ensure that the employees are not exposed to long term risk within the workplace and that the organisation is not exposed to liability.
  • Facilitate and lead accident investigations.
  • Analyse and improve existing risk assessment process. Including monitoring risk assessments, identifying, and completing to a satisfactory conclusion.

Required Education and Experience

  • NEBOSH general certificate.
  • Degree/Higher Education (Safety, Technical, Engineering discipline preferred)
  • HS&E experience in a manufacturing environment is required
  • Excellent knowledge of ISO 45001 & 14001 standards.
  • Auditor qualification.
  • Membership of an industry related professional body would be advantageous
