JOB TITLE:
COMPLIANCE LEAD


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Supporting the Chief Compliance Officer to support the company to comply with regulatory requirements as well as internal policies and procedures in relation to Compliance involving Assets Solutions operations globally.
  • Additionally, directly responsible for the successful implementation of the compliance program in Aberdeen, acting as the compliance focal point for the Asset Solutions Business Unit and providing compliance support to the Asset Solutions businesses.
  • Focal point for Asset Solutions includes working with the Asset Solutions Chief Operating Officer and their team closely on all compliance related matters.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders such as legal, leadership teams, supply chain, commercial, clients, JV partners etc.
  • Design and deliver training sessions based on the compliance training and communication plan for the Asset Solutions operations in Aberdeen.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory developments.
  • Work closely with other compliance resources to ensure the full cooperation for the support of the Asset Solutions operations.
  • Responsible for the compliance risk review process including (but not limited to) the scheduling of compliance team wide workshops to agree the risks, liaising with key business conducts to source data and following up with assigned stakeholders to expediate their responses to ensure there is sufficient data to allow the review to be completed.
  • Involved in investigations and/or support of investigations as required by the Investigations Team and instructed by the Chief Compliance Officer.
  • No main budgetary responsibility but responsible for any delegated budget from CCO in relation to the operations they manage.
  • Communication: ability to communicate across the business at all levels, with external parties such as clients, suppliers, JV partners and industry peers.
  • Teamwork: ability to operate as part of the operations team and get their buyin on all compliance requirements and initiatives.
  • Analysis: ability to provide advice to all levels of the business which is appropriate to the context of the engagement type, scope of work, location etc.
  • Initiative: ability to always challenge the norm and table any identified improvements to a particular process to CCO.
  • Mentor: proactively coach and mentor other compliance team members and colleagues across the wider business.
  • Resilience: ability to reassess and adjust if a particular course of action is not effective.
  • Problem Solving: facilitate problem solving across own team, the wider compliance team and the wider business.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


  • Bachelor's degree in law, finance, or business.
  • Professional compliance experience in a similar role.
  • Familiar with industry practices and standards
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Respect for the confidential nature of the role.
  • Have business acumen and a sound understanding of the work Petrofac undertakes.
  • Basic knowledge of the legal requirements in relation to compliance e.g., sanctions, moneylaundering, modern slavery etc.
  • High degree of integrity and professional ethics.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Strong team player
