Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing surfaces in resident rooms, common areas, and staff spaces.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas, including bathrooms, dining areas, lounges, hallways, and offices.
• Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry while ensuring proper care and handling of residents' clothing and linens.
• Adhere to established infection control policies and procedures, following cleaning protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with other staff members to ensure smooth operations.
• Respond promptly and courteously to residents' requests, providing assistance and support as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, infection control protocols, and safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift/move heavy objects if required.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Understanding and sensitivity towards the needs and privacy of older adults.

Salary:
£10.42 per hour


Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

• Peterborough: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Cleaning: 3 years (required)

Language:

• English (preferred)
